Here's a general idea of how things will go down. Might need a tweaking here or there.
Introduction:
An elimination tournament which would go 12-14 rounds.
Prizes:
$110 Post Up - $100 to Pot
Payouts TBD by number of entries.
Setup:
* Runs June 1 - July 30
* RD1 H2H seedings will be determined by random draw of names matched w/ random seedings from 1 to ?? players.
** RD1 matches highest w/ lowest, 2nd highest w/ 2nd lowest, etc.
* 4 day rounds (No Off Days)
* Exactly 10 Plays per round.
* To guard against rainouts, an extra (11th play) must be posted on day 4 of each round and will be graded if necessary.
* 5 Play Max Per Day. Any plays exceeding the max will be ignored and graded 'no action'.
* Runlines, Moneylines & Totals Only.
* Posted Lines From BetOnline.
Contest Rules:
* All plays are action regardless of any change(s) in starting pitchers.
* When wagering on total runs (over/under) the game must go 9 innings (8.5 if the home team is ahead) to have action. If a game is called or suspended in extra innings, the score will be determined after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the score is determined at the time the game is called.
* Rules for Run Line wagers are the same as those for totals.
* The result of a game is official after 5 innings of play unless the home team is leading after 4.5 innings. If a game is called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called.
* If the home team ties the game and it is then suspended, the play will be no action. No carry over to the next day.
* Deadline to post will be prior to the posted start time of each game on your playlist. Only the plays that are posted past their specific deadline will be penalized. They will be graded a push if the play wins, a loss if the play loses.
* Records are reset to 0-0 (+0) to begin the next round with new matchups.
* If Players from the same matchup are tied after the round is over, they will both move on to the next round, creating two 3-Way Matchups, one for each bracket they would've competed in next. Same picks would apply to both brackets (best result of the 3-ways will advance).
Format:
The losers of the first round will drop down to The Loser's Bracket #1 and the winners will continue on in the Winner's Bracket. A loss in The Loser's Bracket #1 will drop that player down to The Loser's Bracket #2. A loss in Loser's Bracket #2 will eliminate that player from competition. The eventual winner of the Winner's Bracket (W34) will play the Winner of the Loser's Bracket #1 (W38) until one player has 2 losses (W39 or W40). The loser of that matchup will then play the winner of Loser's Bracket #2. That winner (W42) will finally play the winner of Winner/Loser #1 matchup (W39/40) for the championship. FINAL ROUND(S) (43, 44*, 45*) will go until one player has been defeated a total of 3 times. The FINALS will be 3 day affairs, 5 plays per day, exactly 15 total.
